As the novel progresses, Laurel becomes increasingly determined to learn what happened to Ellie, especially after discovering an odd connection between Poppy’s mother and her daughter even as her relationship with Floyd is becoming more serious. to listen to Patrick reveal his story slowly over the next redundant 400 odd pages. I was shaking my head in utter surprise and disbelief through each chapter. He probably could have churned out a 400-page novel but realized the story idea didn't have enough depth, so he wrote a quickie 50-page short story. Grisham did not disappoint.Well, John Grisham has done it again. So in a radical change of events, the last chapter of this book confuses what little plot there is. Pre-publication book reviews and features keeping readers and industry Dull, dull, dull. Great courtroom!the only thought i'm left with is "WTF is an unindicted felon?"

Grisham (The Client, 1993, etc.) Here’s my 5 cent review...I finished reading this book within 3 days, a gripping story which full of twists and the unexpected. For those who have been ignoring The Partner for whatever reasons, have another look..Grisham is a natural storyteller. .

Sometimes, I would imagine him going: This is not one of the best Grisham books, but there is enough suspense and drama to make it worth reading. I loved Rogue Lawyer, though, and was intrigued when I saw this new e-book by one of my favorite authors. The rest of the book details how he attempts to escape the civil and criminal cases against him, intertwined with the details of how he pulled off the scam in the first place. We are—well, ask Bigfoot, as Brooks does in this delightful yarn, following on his bestseller A zombie apocalypse is one thing.
