I vowed a while back, perhaps harshly, not to rate any progressive releases higher than 4 stars simply because they weren't Nick Warren's GU Shanghai. In the last few years James Holden has quickly established himself as one of the dance music communitys pillars, having an impact of which many an older producer and DJ can but dream.

It's definitely leaning more toward techno with a lot of melody, which is what I tend to enjoy the most. I love the echo! I would love a remaster. This compilation is a timeless classic.

Speaking of Petter, "All Together" is the highlight of CD1 and the whole compilation, followed by the fluffy mix of Nathan Fake's "outhouse" which is SO incredibly trippy, i can't get enough of it.
